Built for hosts who are tired of asking “what are the blinds?”
PokerTD (Poker Tournament Director) is a free, browser-based tournament director focused on one job: keep the clock, the structure, and the payouts clear so the host can deal — or play — without running a casino software suite.
Home-game hosts, club nights, and social tournaments
PokerTD is for people who:
- Run home games and want a readable blind clock on a laptop or TV.
- Organize friendly clubs or recurring nights without buying desktop tournament software.
- Host charity / social tournaments where fairness and clarity matter more than floor operations tooling.
If your night needs blinds, breaks, a prize pool, and a display the table can see, you're in the right place.
If you need multi-table seating balance, league databases, or casino floor workflows — that's a different category. PokerTD is an instant host tool, not a card-room ops platform.
Free browser tournament director — TV-ready timer first
Positioning in one line: Free browser tournament director — TV-ready blind timer with structures, payouts, voice, dual display; data on-device; no signup.
In practice that means:
- Blind structures (levels, antes, breaks)
- Automatic payout calculations from tournament setup
- Voice announcements via browser speech synthesis
- Fullscreen and Cast to TV / dual display
- Core data in localStorage — no signup required for core use
What we don't claim as core product today:
- Cloud sync across devices
- League / season management suites
- A native mobile app store listing as the primary product
- Casino floor tooling (auto table balancing, dealer dashboards, etc.)
See the full feature walkthrough on Features and the setup path on Help.
Your tournament lives on your device
Core PokerTD use stores tournament state in the browser's localStorage. You can run the clock without creating an account.
Be transparent with your players (and yourself):
- Tournament blinds, stacks, and payout setup for core use stay on-device.
- If you submit feedback through the product, that may go to a feedback API — that's intentional message delivery, not “upload my whole tournament database.”
- The site may use analytics (Vercel Analytics is likely present) for aggregate traffic and performance — not framed here as cloud backup of your game.
We'd rather say this plainly than oversell “private cloud” language we don't ship.
Not Poker TDA. Not the Windows Tournament Director.
PokerTD at pokertd.com is an independent product.
- Not affiliated with the Poker Tournament Directors Association (pokertda.com) — the rules and standards body many TDs know as “TDA.”
- Not affiliated with the Windows desktop software “The Tournament Director” (thetournamentdirector.net).
Similar words, different products. If you searched for TDA rules or the long-standing Windows TD package, those sites are the right destinations. If you want a free browser timer/director for tonight's home game, you're in the right place.
Talk shop in r/PokerTD
Hosts compare structures, share display tips, and give product feedback in reddit.com/r/PokerTD/.
Bring the weird edge cases: turbo charity stacks, ante timing, Cast quirks on living-room TVs. Real host nights make the product better than feature lists alone.
Instant open, not “create account to see the clock”
The host already has enough jobs: chips, seating, snacks, and answering “are we on break?” PokerTD's bar is simple:
- Open the site.
- Set the structure and payouts.
- Put the clock on a screen people can see.
- Start dealing.
No signup wall for core use. No install package. No pretending a living-room game needs a casino suite.
